Today is my grandfather’s birthday! Although he graduated in 2020, he would’ve been 77 years old. This is the poem I wrote for his funeral services from all of his grandkids, inspired by my little cousin Kamryn.
“Papa So Precious”
At least that’s what Kam , his youngest grand baby would say.
Worm and I , on the other hand , picked with Papa everyday.
We all loved him , in our own little ways.
Dominos? He was always ready for game
Needed a ride ? You could always call his name.
His wife Rose was his lifeline
Anything wrong, he counted on her to make it just fine.
His Children , he would do anything for.
And the grandchildren , his pride and joy.
“Papa so Precious” Why did Kam , as a baby, start saying that mess?
Well, I suppose it all makes sense now I guess.
We love you Papa.
