Monday Motivation.

We have all seen the #MotivationMonday posts on social media but to be frank – most people dread Mondays.

We anticipate what was left undone from the week before or what may arise ahead. By proxy, we forget how simple it is to have good a day.

In today’s brief blog, we’ll explore three simple signs of a good Monday, or a good day in general.

  • When you are able to arise and decide how your day will go, it’s a good day. Conversely, your usual routine pans out, yet, however mundane it may be, it is still good day. This doesn’t mean that being caught by a train on the way to work, is a marker of the opposite, or that you’ll never have a good day because you work a 9 to 5 and don’t live a #bossbabe ‘entrepreneurial’ lifestyle. Routine and structure to our daily lives is something we often seek and then complain about.

  • You’ll interact with others today. Life is about connecting with others, someone making you laugh or you doing the same for them. Engaging in conversations that fill you, such as that daily phone call from your mom or best-friend. A good day is incomplete without meaningful interactions.
Notes are a special way to brighten up others’, even strangers, days. I love leaving notes for those deserving, those appreciative. Coworkers , gracious servers and family. To make someone’s day, is to improve your own.

  • If you are looking forward to tomorrow, you’ve had a good day. You’ll survive Monday, and its predecessor. The next day is unwritten, yet, you’ll anticipate and spend your night preparing for it. Birthdays are once a year, holidays too – you never know what lies in tomorrow that will make it special also, deep down, you know that.

  1. Yes! I agree! Today will be a good Monday! I like the three reasons why, I woke up this morning, Praise God! I interact with others. That’s a given with my job and yes looking forward to Tuesday! I love it! Awesome! Keep them coming. Always look forward to reading your blog! Have a Good Monday!

  2. I admit, I do dread Mondays because not only am I recuperating from a busy weekend, but it is the start of a busy work week for me. Mondays are always my busiest days, but I do enjoy what I do so that makes it a little easier for me to get my day going. If I go in with a mindset of “I am going to be productive today and not complain” then I have a great day and the time flies by. I enjoy interaction with my coworkers! Thanks for this Monday Motivation!

    1. I love that you love what you do and your coworkers, that is SO important. Those two things are often the reason why people dread Mondays !!! You’re welcome, thanks for reading AND commenting !
